The black is toast, I tried a light wetsand and went right thru... I'm changing the color scheme ( I want to get rid of the gold) to dark blue, light blue and silver anyway, but thanks for the idea. How many 32's do you remember painting?

That's a cool old Sanger vdrive. My first boat was a '72 Sanger flat with a 427 motor -- I ended up lowering the compression and putting a 6-71 Littlefield blower with dual predators on it. I could never get it to stop porpoising at high speeds, but it was still lots of fun. I think the bare hull was like 800lbs, so it was built like a tank. Sanger made a good boat -- with a mild motor it would be a good ski machine.

I wanted a v drive, but Lake erie is too rough to use it normally. So I bought this Mach 1 instead. Its kinda old skool, not the old old look with the teak swim platform look. New engine is going in, and I cant wait to get it on the water.

This was the first fast boat my wife and I had after we got married (1986). This picture is the only one I have of this boat. The boat is a 1973, 13.6' Custom Stoller powered by a 150HP inline 6 banging Mercury. The boat ran 78 mph on radar. My wife's family used to say I had more motor than brains. It seems not much has changed. :party-smiley-004:
