The hull has some interesting steps/notches right at the back of the boat.

Very cool. A 1978 Tommy Adams Signature High Deck fully restored 3 decades later. A super deep 25 degree V. I believe that Tommy was shot in the head. Probably only a dozen of these left. Good Luck!
