Cleavland Propeller
Trying to find out about it's history. It was #57, I think it was an old Formula. I have some pics of it in it's resting place but they're too big to post and I haven't been able to shrink them down.

Re: Cleavland Propeller
I saw a red and white hull with that name on its side in New Baltimore Mi a few years back, this may help you track it down,, the next time I go by there i will look for it..

Re: Cleavland Propeller
Outcast1 - try opening the images using a run of the mill photo software programme. Then try the edit bar - should be second from the left at the top. Then try the F2 Image resize option. You should be able to re-size them by percentage. If you have no joy send them to me. I will re-size them for you.

Re: Cleavland Propeller
might want to track down steve hromcheck it was his boat

Re: Cleavland Propeller
Steve sold the business a few years back. The boat is an old Formula that raced with GLOPRA in the late 70's early eighties... Steve's son Ron still lives in the Cleveland area. I'll see if I can raise a number or e-mail.

Re: Cleavland Propeller
There was a guy in cleveland named Stycicle that raced GLOPRA back in the day. He had 2 race boats, Lil Scorpion and Big scorpion...looks like one of them.

Here it is today. Sad. Anyone got anymore history?
|
steve bought that boat off the owner on the detroit river when it was sunk at the dock. the no. 77 was originally 17 at race day, but 17 was taken, some black tape and there ya go. i have some good stories about that boat and of cleveland propellor when i worked there. steve and shirley are retired in florida now and steve 80 yrs old is reconditioning gem golf carts. no boat anymore, but i'll tell him the boat is still around

Is there a reasonable offer???? Lots of love needed there.
I grew up watching Steve and Ronny run that boat. Would be cool to see here brought back to life. |
