Aronow 28 in Sweden?
Came across this page - enjoy

Re: Aronow 28 in Sweden?
You can just drop the question mark.
The Legacy of Don Aronow is alive and well in its original form as he sold one of his boats and licence to Tage Boghammar´s boat company who even to this day uses spin-offs from the Maltese 27´s. And close to the originals are still racing as Arrow 830´s I bet some briton will soon scream out that these are splashes... http://www.magnum28.se/boats/arrow/arrow.htm |

I prefer to title the project as a classic, a little more modern classic. the Magnum-guys here will see some well know lines. The pics and techinfo of my Arrow on www.magnum28.se-website is a few year old. Since I used that powerplant in my 28 Pantera prev season we going to add blower and fuel-inj to the 28 Arrow. Goal is +900hp. Heres some newer pics. Mange |
Re: Aronow 28 in Sweden?
FYI been here for a few years already...
I understand you prefer calling it a Classic, I´d call it Retro. Like I stated earlier there´s boats close to the original still made in Sweden. Close and only that. |

Re: Aronow 28 in Sweden?
Now you call it (here) an Arrow 28 but the builder calls it Arrow 830 (8.3 metres) => 27ft. when rounded right.
Yeah I know it´s hairpicking but 900hp isn´t 900+ either. Details Details... |

I have spent many more hours with this boat in our workshop than you can imagine. So when you come to the former owners of your country please measure the length of the boat your self. |
Re: Aronow 28 in Sweden?
Ok... I still think the Hull is under 8.38 LOA.
Besides our family is from Skåne... And yes I surely have to measure it someday whan I come to the Scandinavian equivalent of Mexico... PS you´re only The Former owners..just like Russia. |

Re: Aronow 28 in Sweden?
No but you have a lot of Latin/Afro looking people and your money is a called Swedish Pesetas...:D
*The S-Crown was low even before the Euros came but the Swedish pesetas crank was a joke the Swedish US-Car magazine Powers Editor and Owner Kjelle Gustaffson wrote in an editorial or thats at least where I picked it from when he was ranting about the prices of US-Cars and parts for a Swede. I think he hit it quite on the spot...Remember when the Crown was 0.66 Finnish Marks and the FMark was 1/6th of a Dollar since the mid 80´s Puss på kinden :drink: |

Re: Aronow 28 in Sweden?
Now this is interesting..where is Senorita Mercedes.
Or Boghammar 42 offshore Racer? Those at least are pre78 boat designs as the rule is for Scandinavian Classic Offshore. I found also a Donzi Hornet 19 in pieces that has been raced by the FlyingFinn Timo Mäkinen but it´s not for sale. it has been laying in pieces for 2 decades. Timo did race with a 32 Footer round the Britain or try to take the record(..and A lot of other races in the 60/70´s). I´m not sure if he ever succeeded in that but he sure got money from autoracing... |
