In 1966 Ghost Rider, owned by Hugh Doyle won the World Championship.
The next boat that Hugh Doyle had built, was a wooden cat designed by Walt Walters. It was built in Florida and was powered by Mercruiser sterndrives. What was it's name? |

Can we put some order to all these photos Nigel?
Excluding the first Cougars of Class 3 of the sixties, we depart from the first Class 2: Hy Mac of Ken Cassir.A 23' with 2 Mercury in 1970. Then came Black Panther of Earl of Normanton a 21' with 2 Mercury in 1970. The second photo came from the Graham's Library on Boatmad. |

In 1971 appeared the first Cougar with central engine. It's again a Class 2: Miss Guernsey of Banks a 29' with 1 MerCruiser.
While the Black Panther becomes...yellow. The third photo came from the Graham's Library on Boatmad. |
