In 1966 Ghost Rider, owned by Hugh Doyle won the World Championship.

The next boat that Hugh Doyle had built, was a wooden cat designed by Walt Walters.

It was built in Florida and was powered by Mercruiser sterndrives.

What was it's name?

Can we put some order to all these photos Nigel?

Excluding the first Cougars of Class 3 of the sixties, we depart from the first Class 2: Hy Mac of Ken Cassir.A 23' with 2 Mercury in 1970.
Then came Black Panther of Earl of Normanton a 21' with 2 Mercury in 1970.
The second photo came from the Graham's Library on Boatmad.

In 1971 appeared the first Cougar with central engine. It's again a Class 2: Miss Guernsey of Banks a 29' with 1 MerCruiser.
While the Black Panther becomes...yellow.
The third photo came from the Graham's Library on Boatmad.

Excellent Marco.....it was something like that. Maybe Mona Kai?

A photo of the boat is on page 53 of SEARACE and is misidentified as ZIPPE.
