Trs Rams

Hi ,[I] am looking for a set of TRS rams, does anyone have any for sale in good shape?

nick k 04-11-2007 09:06 PM

Do you mean the black ones that mercury used to offer w/the TRS or any rams? I have a set of newer Latham rams with 2 TRS wing plates and all mounting hardware (except bolts for rams to hull) all in box. Bought for a boat I no longer have. It depends what you are looking for...this stuff is top of the line and it shows. Wing plates are new and polished to a shine hand have Latham mounting drawings.

Or maybe you mean trim clinders (gimbal to drive)...not steering?

the ones I am talking about are from the gimble to drive and have the internal lines. unfortunatly someone stole mine last winter. they are for a 1977 28ss cigarette!

You are the second person who asked me that. I guess I should change it. I didn't buy it, I just always liked the boat.

Stormrider 04-13-2007 10:02 PM

Already changed. I'll save it for the new owner. Is it still for sale?

excalibur32 08-08-2007 11:54 AM

gangstav 08-08-2007 08:45 PM

yes, I still have the trs rams. I have three of the internal early style, that are a lot stronger than the newer style. they are still in good shape. pm me if you are interested. we can work something out.

trs rams

Mine have a part # of 87411...I belive these are the ones that have a single external line. I always hear about these internal lines...how does that work? How internal can they be? Hydraulic has to plug in somewhere right? Will these work for me and how do I hook them up. The boat is an 1984 Scarab III and I assume these are the original drives (though one says TRS and the other says TR? They appear identical. I don't understand?? I am sort of new at this expensive sport I really cant afford...lol.
