Any marks or numbers I wonder on the hull? Sweet looking machine. Oh to be rich!

That pic of the bulkheads has me guessing too.
The way that they meet at a "corner" at the deck joint, instead of "rounded" seems like it would be a substantial loss in lateral strength.

"Residue"
I'd bet if there was anything that was in that hull that would cause "residue" it wasn't in there long enough be the source.

Just looks like mold to me.
Wish I was to the challenge - that looks like a helluva lot of work.

I was looking at the transverse bulkheads and they definately are not symetrical...

In my opinion if you wanted one of these old 35 flatdecks Daddy Cool was THE boat to buy about a year ago.

Mark breaking those bulkhead with the hatch doesn't seem very good either... stiffeners need to be beefed up and or the hatch should be surrounded with a bulkhead.. I design steel ships and offshore structures... but I would be fired if I allowed drawings to go out whis a ring frame knothced like that.

hi water boy, the sutphen was owned by stever berk a oso member then ed toth, didnt race much 16 races in all. not sure if i am going to race the sutphen this year doing a lot with oss and the 38 bad boy super v

i have seen a lot of those 36s-38s get mold esp the 1st ones where they used decks without the shoe box flange, the decks don had from other molds that where not made for that certain hull just glassed on. water was able to creap into the hull and create dampness. or like charlie wrote could have been under water....

the reason for the hatch was due to the fact that the "PREVIOUS" owner hauled 1000 kilos per trip. i bought it after it was released from customs.sat for 8 years. it was a very profiitable boat until it wasn't.note 1 hatch.

1000 kilos per load....boats were diaposable..i would take the hatch out.to much work....with fuel and personal gear 8600 lbs.unique 41....

How much do you know about the "history" of your boat??
It's got to be a great story - I'd love to hear it.
How'd it wind up getting seized, who was running the goods (cartel)...etc.

Iīm not so sure! Any trips say from Miami to the Bahamas etc could result in all sorts of nightmares if the authorities records arenīt updated!! They would for sure have every detail on that boat including the hull number.

Bounty Hunter-- I have a little information--I don't know much about what el indio was saying about the boat being a drug boat because the boat was offered to me 4-5 years ago by a gentleman named Manny. The boat was painted black and the engines were fresh from Cobra Power. Also, the hatch in the front deck on the port side was not there at that time. So as far as it being a drug-running boat I haven't a clue. The boat was all black with a purple Cigarette stripe, with a purple and silver Cigarette logo on the side and was in great condition. Since then it looks like it has gone downhill for the last 4-5 years.
