Where was that old Scorpion built?

lowblue320 06-27-2007 01:00 PM

Scorpion was built here in Miami by Julio Devarona who trottled El Boss back in the days and The Connection (miami to bahamas race).

Pantera24 06-27-2007 04:54 PM

That thing is a wave CRUSHER...I tell you I thought my Pantera was laid up well but Scorpion's are unreal.

resurrected 07-06-2007 06:19 AM

There was a manufacturer up here in the '80's that was called Scorpion, similar lines but built light. They didn't survive to see the '90's

The Scorpion's built by Julio Devarona down here in Miami were laid up very well. You need some serious power to move them but well worth it, in my opinion.
P.S. anyone looking for one I know where there is one available down here in Miami.

On my boat I'm still deciding on whether to go with a 3 man bolster or sit down, as for power right now it will stay with the 454/TRS combo until a little $$ later.
Here is a pic of the other Scorpion. Give me an email address I can send you the details on it if you want.
