The Original Cigarette

I saw the original 23 formula in Extreme Boats Mag. What a cool boat does any one have any more pictures of this boat either vintage or of the current restoration .

Thanks Rick G.

Here are a couple of shots I took after testing the boat last December in Florida.

That is a real 409 cu in GM motor ......that took a lot of research to find all the parts.

They still have the orginal drive, but they didn't want to chance it with the new motor.....so they are using the newer drive.

Innovation Marine in Sarasota did the engine work....they told me that it was made with pieces from literally all over the whole country...they really had to do a search and a half.

I took the boat into the Gulf on a very mild day for waves and it really runs very well. It handles great and flies nice and level with a smooth re-entry.

They did a beautiful job.....Don would be proud of his old entry.
