The Original Cigarette
I saw the original 23 formula in Extreme Boats Mag. What a cool boat does any one have any more pictures of this boat either vintage or of the current restoration .

Here are a couple of shots I took after testing the boat last December in Florida.
That is a real 409 cu in GM motor ......that took a lot of research to find all the parts. |
Awesome job guys !!
That rigging looks awesome, where can I go for that!! I was wondering with the red disturber cap what it running for ignition? Also it is that a newer Bravo drive?

Innovation Marine in Sarasota did the engine work....they told me that it was made with pieces from literally all over the whole country...they really had to do a search and a half. I took the boat into the Gulf on a very mild day for waves and it really runs very well. It handles great and flies nice and level with a smooth re-entry. They did a beautiful job.....Don would be proud of his old entry. |
That thing is sooooooo sweet!!!!!!

Thanks TB . I am going to start looking for a 60's 23 foot formula hull and build my own clone .
