I have photos o the Maritime that used to race in the GReat Lakes back in the day. Golden Eagle then Trach Can. I'll post them tonight.

I remember the boat from when I was a kid. It sat at Alliance Manufacturing (Genie garage door openers) in Alliance Ohio.

A few years back I picked up a 20' Maritime that had been rigged for twin 80hp outboards. It still had the engine-turned finish on the hull.

Worse still, the seller talks about its scrap value!

Really hope that the person that buys it ,buys it to restore.It would be really sad to see it be hacked up.What a really cool classic that would be with the turbines back in it.

It didn't make reserve. Only bid upt to $5,800. Dang.

I bought the turbine thunderbird and yes it will be restored! I saw this boat on e-bay, I had a hard time sleeping thinking about this boat so I figured I should just buy it, and wow what a boat! It still had the original engine cover for the turbine engines!
