History of the Flat Deck
 

I have a 1981 33' Flat Deck Cigarette. What is the history of the flat deck halls? I have never been able to find out much information.

Where they ever used as DEA boats. I was told this was the 10 boat sold to the DEA. How does that jive with the "blue thunders"?

Is there any good way to research the history, like car fax for boats?

Call the Cig factory with the HIN. If they ever actually answer the phone they can tell you who it sold to originally.

Can't say I ever saw any Customs boats that small. That doesn't mean it couldn't have been sold to any number of Fed, state or local LE agencies for any number of uses. DEA boat is sort of a catch-all.

Hey, I need to see some pics of your boat. We may have the same model. Mines a 1979 Cig 33 Limited Edition and there's very few of the 33's still around and I've only seen one other. Brownie says they used either a stretched 32 or a cut down 36 to make our 33's.

HS & ORC ... what are the HINs of the boats you each have?

Mines a Cig. HIN starts with CRT. If my memory serves me right, the Squadrons XII's were 27, 32 and 39's.

That's the only one other 33 that I've seen. They want something like $39K for that one. Hell, I'd let mine go for that!:party-smiley-004:

Low and behold.... we have ANOTHER!! :ernaehrung004: You can tell by the offset in the hull side just below the rubrail.

Good find 24, it that yours? What's the HIN? And where is it located. Please post or send me more pics!! I'd love to see the similarities.

I had that 33 surveyed Its at ocean performance in old saybrook CT Theres a 5 ft crack running along the keel The stringers need replacing also drives are pitted up But its all there but needs alot of work Owner would take 20 no less That was a year ago Its been sitting 6 years

Someone would appreciate this boat that runs in rough water. I use it on the finger lakes. Awesome riding machine.

Thanks for the compliments. There aren't to many mistresses that have been updated, that are left. Many people have a hard time believing it is a 1985. Shows much newer, has a lot of new features. All new equipment.

Do you have the other catalog pics with that red 27' squadron? I lost mine. And yes that is a 27'er used for the 24 brochure........
