Popeyes-Cesa???
 

Any info on what this was about, what role did Al have in this? I know it raced in key West with Buzzi one year but it was named Cesa then...

As far as I know the boat was leased to Al just for the World's in AC in 1989. I don't recall what class it ran in??? The rules still alowed such a margin for diesels that 4 small Seateks (CUI) were still legal in UIM 1 or US Open Class (Gancia with Stefano in AC). I remember it went to Key West after and was sinking at the dock? Other than that?

The Boat raced in the Cowes Tor. Cowes - was sinking half way thru in the harbor - Buzzi and Dr. Bonomi ran it - then it came to Key West and was run by Al and Buzzi - we filmed the Cowes event - and the Key West event- quick work to get it back together for Key West and get it re-painted to Popeyes !

Do you remember it sinking in Key West as well or am I crazy?

Maybe not because of damage but because it sat so low and when they stopped the wake came over the tramsom and it was going down?

I remember this boat in AC NJ for the 89' World's too
