The good ol days. What a lineup!

This is the official race lineup from our local paper in my hometown from back in the day. 4/15/1989 to be exact. I was a mere five years old! :p The good ole days. What a lineup! I see JT and GB, and even the Serralles's. My Dad and my uncles boat is the "Wet Willie" in sportsmans B-Class 24 skater. They used to test props behind our house on the bay and I would sit on our dock for hours in Awe watching them fly back in forwth. My Mom was cool enough (or crazy enough) to let me ride with them sometimes. I had a red plastic race helmet that you could buy at the dollar store that I always wore cuz I wanted to be just like them. I would sit between my Dads legs (basically on the floor) and they would give her hell. He would have to hold my cheap helmet down on my head to keep it from blowin off. I could never see over the dash:mad: All I knew is that it was loud as heck and FAST!!! Greatest memories of my life to this day.:ernaehrung004: Do you guys recognize any of these boats?

I hung up my Zebra shirt a few years back so I can't say for sure, but if you could slow her down a bit maybe P-2 ?? Mark ran the Cat Can Do [outboard] this last year in P-2, but there are some fast Vee boats in that class now !!!!

With the rules today to run P-1 you need a canopy [For Safety].. Bob sold the Twisted Sticks cat, and Traffic Light runs well at the max speed for P-1,, I know your faster than that !!! I found our old Skater cat she is in ruff shape and hasn't aged well like yours has.

32agitator 09-13-2008 12:27 PM

where at it would be fun to bring another one back from the dead mine wasnt in to good of shape either but it did still ran when i got it but i never saw the speeds they say it went about 110 was all i could get out of it with the small blocks
