TOASTY 10-28-2008 10:19 PM

are they doing blow with that steering wheel?...God looks like a tuner car some kid would have. why are they selling so soon? No motors...geez those mills from Nj musta been prime pieces...

northernoffshore 10-29-2008 09:56 AM

I saw the boat for sale at tnt for a much higher price. The dash was rough and it had a NuWave marine embroidered in the dash panel. The motors were dirty and looked like they needed looking into. A short time later saw the boat rerigged and it looked great overall, and they were racing it. I think it is great to see an older race cigarette in such good condition still with a realistic price for it. Every time I saw it at the races it looked great . As far as the steering wheel well I guess that it personal preference. Hey Toasty, being from new jersey , do you know the boat? I know they are racing a larger scarab now and probably are moving up in class.,

TOASTY 10-29-2008 06:19 PM

i did know the boat, yes, was quite the ripper when up here!
know a owner and engine builder/ rigger in NJ both good people!

That boat is in very good condition and has all new hoses, cables, panels, exhaust, the drives were gone through etc. etc. It seems as if only raced it only a couple of times after the update. A lot of money was spent on it and IMO it's a like a hundred grand less than dry martini, and still very cool historically. I'm surprised that no one from europe has bought it yet.

NuWaveparts.com 05-21-2009 01:35 PM

we restored that boat about 10 years ago, hence the nuwave on the dash... sweet boat!

What's with the trailer? I've never seen bunks like that? Anybody want to inform me?

northernoffshore 05-23-2009 07:46 AM

That is the original trailer and is used for lifting with a crane not a ramp. Last time I saw the boat it had a new aluminium trailer with it for use at the ramp.

TOASTY 05-24-2009 06:18 PM

where is it now whats the new price?

northernoffshore 05-24-2009 06:40 PM

contact the owners http://fortmyers.craigslist.org/boa/1174295110.html

Wouldn't it warp the hull sitting on a trailer like that? Still trying to educate myself here.

That old school trailer supports the boat way better than most new ones. This was the first trailer like that I saw outside of pics in sea race. It doesn't flex and is very stable on the road. I looked at the boat and it is very good condition and they want it sold. I am not the owner, just like the old school boats, especially Daddy Cool. It matches my old 28' cig, and the people who own it are great guys.

DrGaryDC 11-07-2009 03:03 PM

Is Daddy Cool still for sale today?
