85 34 Scarab III Question
 

I have always run center consoles, but now have a chance to pick up a 34 scarab, twin 454, 400hp at a deal I can't refuse. Can anyone give me an idea of what top end speed I can expect with these stock engines? Also what are some of the easier mods I can do to bump up the top end?

What i would do is change to BRAVO drives ( if it has TRS ,,,that will give u about 8 MPH more !!!!!

My quess is the boat will do now with 400's ~ 65 MPH:party-smiley-004:
But its a nice running boat Scarab III was @ top back then !!!

Thanks for the info. I believe it currently has Bravo's. Any recommendation on best prop for top end? It has 21p mirage 3 blade props now.

she will run 60's try a four blade prop, With my stock 502's 415 hp a 22" pitch Hydromotive Q-IV ran the best.
