40' Scarab
 

Has anyone ever ran across a 40' scarab that used to belong to Cyndi Lauper?
It had her name on the instrument panel. It was pwered by 400's and TRS Drives
Original name was "Sea Wrestler" later changed to "Stress Test"

unless i am mistaken, that boat was at hyannis marina, hyannis mass during the late 1980s.

You're right. I bought it from her at Hyannis Marina in 1987.
I sold it in 1992. It was supposed to have gone to FLA.
It seems to have vanished!
I have one of those " I wonder whatever happened to that boat" moments every once in awhile.
It was a nice looking boat, a slug but fun.
Just weird it has never shown up for sale or somewhere on the forums

I live in wilton Ct,I bought the boat back in 1998.The boat may be for sale in near future.The boat still has plack (expressly built for cyndi lauper).The name of the boat is CHA CHING now.The boat motors have been rebuilt to 468 ci 600 hp ,the boat has been repainted white emron with graphics.Base coat clear coat,The interior was done as well,still has push button booze bar.The boat is still a sharp and fun boat which is no longer a slug.If anyone has any interest or storys please post ,or contact me at [email protected] thanks Robert.

Was it painted white when you bought it? Does it still have TRS drives?

On the Scarab forum, the boat was supposedly for sale in Seattle last month?
I bought it from her, I put a lot of hours on it and had a lot of fun with it. I know things about that boat you probably don't know!

I have the hull vin# I would like to give it to you to so it could be matched to you documents,There seems to be more then one person with her boat.There is a boat on ebay now claiming to be hers . I have just located papers, the sale between Hyannis Marine.and buyer,on october 19,1987 with same hull # ,which validats that I clearly am the owner of the origal Cyndi lauper boat .Please contact me with any other paper work so I can add to my documents ,thanks Robert.
