Magnum 29'9

Charlie we have the 1973 Magnum 29'9 single engine 482, APBA 1977 Champion. It was run under Thumper Two 1973-1976 by Jim Armington and The Head Hunter 1977-1978 by Vaughn Szarka.Currently it is at Roger Munns shop in Naples waiting for some free time so he can look it over and most likely start the rebuild. Have pictures when it race as Thumper Two from Jim and current pictures. Bud

Cinzano which was restored last year just won the Cowes-Torquay-Cowes a few hours ago.

Bounty Hunter sadly didn't make it to the start line as it blew an engine on the way to the race.

Dave....I wasn't sure if you had the boat yet or were just doing some research on what you thought was Man O War.

If you have it, that's great....now what happens to Inferno?

Apparently it is sitting in a field in California. HORBA was contacted by a broker who was trying to put a value on it for the owner. A couple of guys followed up, but no definite sale yet.

The red boat is Bob Nordskog's Formula. It is sitting in a field in Indiana or Illinois waiting too.

That is fantastic.....there is still so much life left in these old boats, they will be like the Ferrari Daytonas and 250 GTO's of the next decade.....we can't let them stripped and cut up.

Jerry Jacoby who ran the 37.6 Cigarette, AJAC HAWK, decided he wanted to go with a cat, so he contracted with Broward Marine in Florida to make an aluminum cat....BROWARD HAWK.......didn't go very well and the project was abandoned.

Boat is on the west coast of Florida just above Tampa in a storage yard.

Gary and I ran Bad Company in "Miami Vice." I tried to buy the boat from Pete Pack. a few years ago... it was white w/ turq. stripes. Offered 18... I think it sold for 22. Tried to make a deal on Inferno 10 years or so ago. Great boat. What are you looking to get for her?

Wondering what that would sell for .

The Aluminum Cat....Broward Hawk is in a storage yard on State Road 54, about 100 yards west of the Harley Davidson dealer in New Port Richey, Fla.

I'm sure the owner of the storage yard would have the boat's owner's info.

That particular 40' of DonQ was exceptional. Fast and great in the rough. Best race I ever saw was that boat vs. the old 46' WHM in Corpus Christi, Tx, in 2000. Unreal.

I'll never forget that race eather. I broke 3 rib's when we barrel rolled in the F2 race. What was the name of that aircraft carrier? Jo

MF,

Call Rich at Dolphin Brokerage in West Palm Beach, I do not believe a 28' cigarette will fit in a sea box. But they can ship it " Ro-Ro" is what it is called. The boat would need to be shipped to Jacksonville, Florida or Savanna, Georgia or Charleston, South Carolina. The boat & Trailer will be shipped
open with in the covered decks of the ship, this is why Rich
will need the over all dimension to give you an accurate proposal. His phone number is 1-561-683-2064 good luck.

Regards,

Crash- Box
