The pics with the Alcone on the sides is the first boat. A 40 Skater that was sold and became "Sudden Impact", dont remember where it went from there. the one with the yellow trim was the first 46 Skater that was sold to Al Copeland and turned into a turbine and then caught fire and burned to the waterline. shame because it was a great boat. I dont have any pics of the last one on this computer but I am sure someone out there does.

Alcone turbine craft

Copelands turbine boat I understood was ex Drambuie On Ice from 1998/2000,whereas the yellow/white Alcone cat of 1997/99 became Hydrogenmedia Fountain in 2000/01.Both boats could have become the GT one.I wonder which is correct.

My pal, Jerry Gilbreath, throttled for Alcone. I always said that whatever he lacked in finesse, he made up for in enthusiasm!

My father always said "not to force anything, but to use a bigger hammer" Jerry Gilbreath

You said a mouthful AB. Finesse/ Charm... was not on his order of priorities... Now his father and sister.. a different story.

The Gil Bracket. Invented and developed by Jake Gilbreath. Something that would change the outboard boating industry for ever.

Al had several turbine boats. The Alcone 46 was one of his first and it burned on Lake Ponchetrain at which point he bought another and another etc.
