Boy did the OPT guys blow it when they didn't take Eike's offer to bring Offshore racing up to a professional multi national SPONSORED sport.

Eike had an $8 million dollar offer on the table for annual sponsorship and the "big shots" said no.....citing some nonsense about giving up their "independence".

As the song says:

"How do you like me now?"

You can't make this stuff up......

I remember those OPT days well, Eike's offer was the hot topic at the 1991 OPT race in Manhattan.

Tripple Mercury 1075's......Last Mr Harris and I talked they had some rigging adjustments and prop adjustments to bring the final numbers in.

Spirit of Amazon ( Cat ) has the turbo engines

His other boat is a 46' ( V-bottom ) Cougar which as
the 1075's
