budandfun 04-20-2011 02:40 PM

Wow that boat is a work of art! What will she run and will the trailer make a long trip?

boatntrkr 04-23-2011 03:00 PM

whoops

26MartiniMan 04-24-2011 11:34 PM

Trailer is in fine shape new tires I havent beat the boat I have put her up to 68 but it was with the wrong prop when I get the new prop back from the shop and let some boost loose she should be right in the mid to upper 70's I have had a few people say she should run 80

Fenderjack 04-25-2011 07:31 AM

Nice boat how much. I bought one brand new in 79 went to floridia to pick it up. Mell Riggs helped me set it up with the drive and velvet drive set up . because I had some big power He said the small trs trannie would not hold up. . JOHN SR

26MartiniMan 04-25-2011 06:39 PM

From my understanding I have a "E" trans in this boat it is a Merc trans but from my understanding its the best one to have that was coming from someone who knew way more than me about it but I have had no problems at all with it shifts great and everything fluid is always clean I have no issues with it

Fenderjack 04-25-2011 10:16 PM

Yeah! I think I know the one you have it is short. At the time I was installing a engine that we had removed from my flat bottom drag boat, changed cam and put some thick head gaskets on it to lower the compression and tame it down. The velvet drive moved the engine ahead about 8-10 more inches and the boat worked great, mel did a 1.33 I believe drive for me I know it was a 1.3 something can't recall,I had 72-c velvet drive 1-1 spinning a cleaver at 6000 on the tach was running in the high 70 's on a jones speedo,NO GPS THEN.NEAT BOAT.The narrow beam made it a hand full. JOHN SR

26MartiniMan 04-26-2011 08:28 AM

Yeah this boat is fun to drive it eats up anything the this river throws at it cruiser wakes rock people cant believe how smooth she rides

VolaticusNavis 05-05-2011 01:16 AM

Nice boat! That bottom hull looks just like a corsa.

Can you hear that supercharger whined? I have been thinkin about getting that same one? What kinda power are you making right now.

Next time your out bring your video camera please. Id love to hear it whined up from inside the boat.

MAGISTER31 05-05-2011 10:56 AM

26MartiniMan 05-05-2011 09:27 PM

26MartiniMan 06-03-2011 07:58 AM

I know I know I dont want to but the times are telling me I have to

DjMikeyC 06-04-2011 07:53 AM

Anybody know the weight of this boat rigged? Actual length? 25' and change? Think a Chevy Tahoe with 6900 GVWR could pull this with the factory hitch?

DjMikeyC 06-04-2011 08:11 AM

Do you have the build sheet on the engine?

Was the boat totally redone? Floors? Stringers? etc?

Would love to see if you have any pics of her before the resto.

Oh and are those reg numbers painted on?

laketravis 06-07-2011 03:18 PM

Wow-
That Boat Looks Great.....The funny thing is that is the exact boat that hooked me into performance boating! It only took one ride from a neighbor dentist friend (Dr. Bill Reilly) of ours on Lake Charlevoix in Michigan when I was 12 years old and thats all she wrote!
Nice to see that someone has taken such great care of a great boat!

laketravis 06-07-2011 03:20 PM

By any strange odds did you buy that boat from Bill Reilly?? It was named Bonnie Marie for quite some time after his daughter. Just Curious

26MartiniMan 06-08-2011 11:16 AM

No he sold it to someone else I bought it from it was named Bonnie Marie I just took the name off last year LOL small world

laketravis 06-09-2011 03:19 PM

Wow, that boat has alot of personal history you did not even probably know about!
Id like to have that boat just for that, but alongside the Formula and Malibu id be too boat crazy!
Glad to see it is in such great shape!

Croozin2 06-09-2011 05:13 PM

I didn't look through the whole thread but "Martini" is refreshing to see!! A friend of mine in high school had the same boat (Well, his Dad did!! LOL!!) Cool to see an old girl in such great shape. Brought back a lot of memories for me!!:drink:

26MartiniMan 06-19-2011 03:26 PM

Must sell

26MartiniMan 06-23-2011 03:47 PM

Parts does anyone want anything they see it looks like I am gonna have to part her out dont wanna but out of choices

Mario L. 06-23-2011 07:05 PM

This is seriously sad!

Other than here where have you advertised this boat?

If you are seriously going to part it I'm interested in the front bolster seats.

cig28 06-23-2011 07:14 PM

i'm interested in the bolsters too

DjMikeyC 06-23-2011 08:02 PM

how much for the whole boat/trailer combo minus the engine?

26MartiniMan 06-23-2011 11:41 PM

Your telling me its sad Sorry I wont part out the interior it all matches WAY to perfect and actually I wont take the interior out of the hull it will stay with it I at least need to give the boat that much respect :( if this hull got a new coat of paint and a few little stupid things buttoned up on it IT WOULD BE THE SWEETEST MARTINI on the planet it has less stress cracks on it than a 2010 fountain in a dealership

26MartiniMan 06-23-2011 11:56 PM

And the only reason I say a new coat of paint is because it has a couple spots where the paint is chipped andI cant stand it it still shines like its new but those few spots drive me nuts the hull deserves it a new paint job and this rig would win awards its just way rare in a "S" model with a windshield still on it in one piece
