Can everyone please post pictures of SBC marine engines, with alternators? I am stuck on this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nope I'm running the stock log manifolds and my altenator is on the orginal bracket, probably just like your was when it was stock.

I wish you were local, I'd give you a hand fabricating a bracket. But 3 hours is a little to far. Best of luck.

ps here is an old (pre headers) shot of my alternator mount. Hopefully they sell the same for Small blocks?

So you did not have power steering?

Also, where does the water from the stern drive enter the engine?

Well, I give up. I cannot ****ing find heater hose with 1.25" ID anywhere. I've tried every Napa, every Autozone, every OReillys, Home Depot, Lowe's, Ace Hardware, and industrial hose place, and not ONE ****ing place has god damn radiator hose on a spool. **** this, the project is going in storage until next year.

had the same problem when i installed my revolution marine exchaust to thermostat etc went to home cheapo with the parts and a knife and cut some hose and installed a pvc adapter piece and hooked up my stuff right in the aisle and went home installed it and its been 4 years and still no problem. good luck

Have you tried online? Maybe McMaster Carr? They have everything, not sure if I ever saw hose on thier site but worth a try, West Marine might be able to order something like that too.

Default alternator.

What are you stuck on.with it.I have a small block alt mount it also holds the power steering pump puts the alt low on the port side and pump above it works with headers.JOHN
