Help me ID this boat

When I pulled this out of a canal in Halandale Beach, FL it had about 6" of barnacles, oysters and other marine growth on the bottom. I brought it to Atlanta and cleaned her up but can't find any information on the manyfacturer. The sales papers list her as an '89 Exotic 26. HIN prefix is PEF.
Does anyone have any information about this boat or company?

You're right on the money! I found Exotic was OOB but couldn't find anything about the boat itself. EXC and BLD is new information It's 26 X 7 ' deep vee and rigged with a 225 outboard on a bracket.The search continues!

Thanks Velocitoy. I'd like to know more about the boat. It's unbelievable the amount of information and support available on this site.

...I have a brochure of sorts for the Exotic...(3 pics on a letterhead... ;-) ...It is/was a good lookin boat for the day...similiar hull to the Twister 24 w/a more "curvy/European" top deck & lines..(looks kinda BRT-ish...)..I think the boat is actually 24'...With bracket/"swim platform" it could be considered a 26'...IF it was built by who I think it was, it should last a long time...Tell me more about finding/salvaging the boat..?...

My friend bought a house in SouthFlorida and the boat came with it. He has a 26' Contender and didn't need them both. I pulled it to Atlanta and started the cleanup. I replaced the front pedistal seats, rebuilt and re-covered the rear bench. Then scraped, pressure washed and acid rinsed the hull. The engine needed similar cleanup, new plugs, carb cleaned and fuel pump rebuild and new lines. The switches for the trim tabs and tilt/trim both needed replaced. I've had in in Lake Sidney Lanier a few times and enjoyed the ride and performance. This winter I plan to do a complete tuneup and water pump change.
