Gentry - Look up Wayne Talkington on Facebook he races 8-92’s is sponsored by Lucas Oil and is in CA! You start with him, he is a world of knowledge and makes big power on a budget!

Wow, I think I remember hearing something like that back in 1979! I had 2 K-100 single wide Aerodynes with 92's in them, set the governors for 2,600 rpm, I think we used 120mm injectors - smoked like hell but ran angry as hell

Yup!

I think the old joke was something to the effect of - "Slam the truck door on your hand before leave, that's way you'll be good and pissed off at the rig. Take you anger out on the truck and she'll run great"

I know they're not the lightest or most efficient engines out there now, but there's something about that 2-stroke howl that makes them oh so cool.

I would say your over qualified after viewing landing craft !! 38inch or 38 dia props ? How are those anchor poles deployed . Are you getting work with it ? Also what year is it and was it used in wartime ?

His last FB post was 2011 so I tried to email him but no luck. Anyone else with detroit diesel building knowledge? 8v92's or 12v92s?

Spuds are on winches with a 2:1 purchase system. Just sold it to Vancouver. Two year long project started with just a shell. Just like Gentry project as shell.
