Brownie...What is this??
|
I think it's built off an old 27 cigarette mold that was offered as a v drive maybe 1969

Brownie...what is the status of the 19' SuperNova I sold you? I may want to buy it back and finish the resto.
|
The boat on the trailer is definitely a Harry Schoell boat (Aronow's alter ego). I don't know a thing about it. As regards the Supernova, Cadillac has it.

I used to own the boat and sold it to some guy in Texas 3 years ago. I bought it from a guy in Panama City. It was set up as a v drive and the title said Arno. We all thought that it was someone's obvious miss spelling of Aronow... but then found out that the boat was supposedly built in Arno Italy and shipped to California. It is really a cool boat. I had considered converting the transom to a functional bracket. The boat is a full 28' long which rules out the cary although the layout with the two seating pods and forward hatch are identical. It's anyone's guess what this thing really is. The guy I sold it to was marketing it on ebay a few years ago as being owned by some Nascar guy... That, he admitted, was a total fabrication.
The boat was completely stripped and awlgriped. The trailer is chit. |
I just called the mgr of my old Panama City yard (Marianna) and he said the boat was 27, not 28 and we actually sold it 4 1/2 years ago. The trailer that is under it was used for a 30 scarab towboat. It had those small diameter float-on tires and wheels which always made the hub overheat. So... based on the Cary brochure, I would have to say that's it. The forward hatch was a 2 piece, just like the drawing.
