orignal was a black 24 that had twins, the boats orignal name was taboo that was run by walt beasley out of boynton beach fla i think it was stepps plug boat it was a tank as for a picture im holdong my head to the moniter but its not printing thru its stuck in my really hard drive (head) --- h20 please back to the achives and dig it up for us" oh ghoul of antique offshore"

Pretty sure they had two 22's ( a tan on and a black one) then the had the blue 30'.

That is the 22 it used to live here for some years. It was owned by Bill Kaye and then Joe Clark. Boat was pretty fast 85-90 MPH.

I think your right Ryan. Bill ran S-class also, with stock 200's. Won S-class 3 consecutive years in a row. That black 22 in the photo was the old Tabu, which you see, is C-class. The old video of him running in those 22's was some of the best rough water running I still, to this day, have ever seen. We built the royal blue gelcoat 30 O/B raceboat as light as we could in those days, which included laminating full length bamboo(slit in half) down the hullsides. Every Velocity boat that went out of the Pompano plant, had two bottles of Captain Maintained wax & cleaner inside. Bill had a bad cancer scare & had to give up racing the 30 kinda early on. Hope he is still with us, great guy.

the deck was super light on the blue 30. I don't think you could walk on it?
