Yo... you get that motor done yet? It's Jared... I miss Kick'n Back... I sent a couple people your way who called on my old ad. I'm sure they just chatted your ear off. I couldn't get them off the phone. I miss going fast... I'm stuck with a 40 Pacemaker and a fishing boat right now.

I have all the parts, cam, heads redone, block, just waiting for assembly now. Not really rushing I bought a 36 Spectre thats the only reason I'm selling the Chris Cat. I can sell it back to you if you want, haha.

My Chris was one of the later foam cored boats that weighed significantly less , was also stripped to bare essentials and had no waterlogged bulkheads which were balsa cored . Wet bulkheads could real thow your cg off , not to mention the weight wet wood adds . These boats were generally poorly built by Chris Craft , however a few were ringers ( compared to their general production ) and I believe mine was one of them .
The engines were class legal 500 inch Big Chiefs with all the best components spinning 7400 - 7800 rpm depending on prop selection for water conditions .
I had this hull gone through about a year ago and now need to get it rigged .

"31 Chris CAT. Will sell without power. #3 drives. In classifieds" Seen your post on "!!!31'Quest!!!" in wated. I reviewed your classified ad. I originally was look for a 31' Stepped V- hull and still am. But gave it great some thought today and haven't put together a fast cat in long time. So you sparked a interest! Like to know more about the power and drives. What type of finishing is in the cabin area? You can PM me at your convenience.
Thanks, NOLAPerformance

These old Chris's have a certain stability at speed you don't have in a modern comparably sized boat .

Having drove both my Chris and Spectre, I agree. Both are stabil but each has a distinct feel of stability. Spectre+less power=Still fast Chris+more power fast (and old school cool). Still for sale.
