Magnum starfire tall deck

Hello I just bought a 1978 Magnum starfire "tall deck" that was rebuild be Tyler Crockett Marine it has twin supercharged 500hp and it was restored by TNT Marine. Anyway back to my question the seller said that the boat was one of only 12 or 13 "tall deck" starfire's ever made and I can't find any info. on the "tall deck" does any one know any thing about this boat/model any thing that I can learn would be most appreciated.

Good sales story but, :picard1: but it it's a standard Starfire. :ernaehrung004: I never heard of a tall deck starfire.

I thought all Starfire's were "tall deck" from the factory. Meaning that the deck over the engine bay was formed higher, to add some freeboard at the transom when the weight of twin big blocks were added. Not true?

True, the engine hatch were higher but they were just called starfires. The deck were the same as a sport. Magnum built at least 30 + starfires, not just 12 or 13.

Thats the one in canada, i was going to go look at it but didnt want to deal with bringing it back into the states, it all worked out for the best because i got an all orginal 29ft mirage that h2o owned, thanks again mark love the boat and it rides bigger than a 29ft boat.

He might have been refering to the engine block as a "tall deck" for lower compression for the blowers
