Maybe Don designed it as a "Troop" carrier,That's what I told people about mine. But seriously that front space was wasted room,sitting down it was hard to see out of the boat.They also sold cover system that could turn that area into a camper type arrangement. remember the Bertram moppie 24 with the pop up camper forward?

Here is the P-302 Huck Finn that raced back in the day on Lake St Clair that had the camper cover system.

One sold in NH in 2010 for about $12k. Same description as you listed.
The hull is identical to a Magnum 27, a bit more freeboard and the deck configuration looks to be made from a Magnum 27 sedan . . . good rough water boat. |
