Liberators: Formula & Four Winns
 

Does anyone know if there was a correlation between Four Winns and Formula on the Liberator model name? Formula's last year for the 255 Liberator model was 1982, and in 1983 Four Winns introduced the Liberator model 204. I find it hard to believe it was coincidental, and the boat designs have many similarities. I wonder if Formula trademarked the name Liberator and then sold it to Four Winns when the 255 finished production?
