Default Phil Lewis Needle Nose Race Team

I stopped by to see my friend Phil Lewis of Needle Nose Race Team fame. Phil was a major fixture in offshore racing with three Bertrams in the '70's and later he was a pioneer in offshore video in the '70's, '80's, and '90's. Phil underwent emergency abdominal surgery two weeks ago to remove most of his large intestine. I am happy to report that he is recovering extremely well and is in good spirits. He looks better than I expected, but his incision was worse than I had imagined. Phil is a wealth of information of offshore power boat racing and a really great person. Please join me in wishing him a speedy and full recovery.

John

Great pics of a great guy! Had a lot of fun with Phil back in the day. My wife, Meta and I wish him a full and speedy recovery. I have tons of videos that Phil made. So many of the Jersey guys were inspired and becamer racers (including myself) because of him. He certainly was a major player in the world of offshore racing.

Get well soon!

You have so much more class than that "voice over" guy, but perhaps you should have taken a pass on the shaved-gerbil!
