I originally lived on Guernsey, before moving to Orlando 5 years ago, but enjoyed seeing the island again through the racing.

It was interesting to hear the thoughts on the safety of the sport, even 22 years ago!

I guess that even then, they knew the risks, but nobody has a failsafe solution to how to stop death or injury when traveling at speed

Here is a link to a UK website, which has many movies and pictures archived.

Go to the movies tab along the top, and select your decade and event. Mainly European races, but may be a few US links in there too

Check with Darren - US 1 - he has many films from the 80s - incuding Cowes T. Cowes, Gurnsey 88 - Japan, Dubai 90, 92 as well as New Zealand 86 - they are availible on CD too -
