P-Class boats had to be stock factory boats with bunks & with more than 10 boats built & sold with bone stock 350 cube small blocks. 280 Merc Cruisers with stock cast iron exhaust systems were the hot set up back then
M-Class boats could be modified small block engines & exhaust to an extent.
The boat could be a purposely built race hull & deck.
S-Class boats were small blocks, anything goes including speedmaster lowers.
APBA had a rulebook, from what I remember the above is close.

I cannot post ,any pics now, but I will some day. I just joined today. I am new to this forum stuff. I also owned hull#3 a 32' CARY. With staggered 482ci #3drives.it was a 1973.Brownie rigged it for a guy named Joe Timbello. Those motors had Kiekaffer rods in them.I read an article in a chevy engine book saying they only made 25 of those engines. It is along story. I love my 29. It is a good size, heavy enough to ride great but lively and faster than the 32. That boat was 9'3" wide.
