k-planes on a 24-7...what size?
hello all. i'm restoring a '77' pantera 24-7 and i'm wondering what size k-planes everyone is running.
any insight would be greatly appreciated. thanks, rob. |
280's but be carefull ya don't trip and stuff it.

I have 300's and 280's I tried the 300 plates first but put 280's on and they are still a bit " touchy".

My 24 had the 180s, and was not over sensitive.
Put on by the factory iirc. |
I had 280's on my 24 Superboat. That's what I would recommend.

I have 280's on my 24 Cigarette Firefox. That's what I would recommend also.

One of the local guru's had 380's on his 24' Pantera - logic was that he didn't want a lot of tab deflection creating drag but wanted to keep the bow from flying. Worked very well, but you really want to keep them in the vicinity of level to get the best out of them at that length...it can get ugly if you don't.
