anyone know anything about a 1978 Monterey 31'?

This is on Ebay right now, anyone know about the hull design or the manufacturer? I am a Mopar guy and am intrigued by the twin 360s I know twin 350 Chevys are more practical but the 360s get me thinking...

Back in 1976 I purchased the very first one of this hull design from Jim Klem [Mr. Lancer, Areo, Predator & Awsome Marine] here in Michigan. Hull #1 that I had was a Lancer Marine made in California. I have had many offshore boats over the years but this hull rode the worst, for a 31' they rode very wet & flat. As far as the 360 Mopar engines they would be just Ok, it's the Chrysler outdrive would be my concern. Chrysler quit making them in the mid 70's.
Many west coast boat companies made copies of them, WHY I dont know ???? Can Am was one company that made them. I think I would pass on this one. You would be better to find a name brand offshore to buy. :party-smiley-004:
