I actually just picked up a 21p 3 blade cleaver style off my local craigslist for 150 to try out. Not sure if im headed in the wrong direction with the cleavers? They seem to be working ok... I also read abou the nose cone not being needed at my speed and its actually a pain because of the reduced clearance on the trailer but i would guess its a pain to remove

It is a pain to remove. So obviously add more power in all seriousness, do some work with the trim. I really think unless the motor is tired, you should be able to see 57-59mph with the right prop and good trim. If you found a cleaver, run it. It's trial and error mostly and I've never had your Python, but different boats like different props. If my math is right, your slip #'s are right around 10%, so it sounds like the cleavers are working, but you'll know better as you get the trim right and run the 21P prop. Let us know how it turns out

Cool boat. That was my first go fast. I think I also ran the 3 blade mirage props. Boat runs great a 60+, have to get it on the pad to get a good ride out of it. I was at 71 ish with 390hp 502. Some hydraulic steering would be a huge improvement in handling.
