87 Scarab 40' Need Info

Can anyone tell me what a 87 Scarab 40' with twin "468's" would do as far as MPH? Does anyone know about the 468's? Need some input from the dudes that do this all day.

Depending what they are putting out between 52-60mph.
Mine did 60 with 500 hp ea
67mph with 700 ea
with stock 330's maybe putting out 350hp it did 50mph.
big, heavy, and doesn't like to run fast. but tons of room, great party boat...

Thanks, a buddy of mine might have his eye's on one. Supposedly, the boat motors are pushing out over 800 hp with these twin 468's.
Have you ever heard of 468's?

yep bored over 454's
800hp? are they supercharged? must be...
if it has anything less than 3a's on it the drives won't live long, even with them it's a heavy boat.

Good Luck

Even with blowers 800hp with 468's is pushin it, must be lots of boost...

Actually I doubt it is making that..

I love home made HP guesses...

Could be 800 HP TOTAL??? 400 each??

I had a customer with one, 400 cyclones & TRS drives. It ran low 50's. We rebuilt engines with 3.3L Whipples (about 650 hp) boat ran 65. Swapped out TRS drives for Konrads. Went up from 24 Bravo 1 props to 26 Bravos and speed went to 72. This is running on smooth lake water, 700 ft. elevation and 100+ degree temps.

Wow, Thank You all. it seems like my buddy might be getting a little bit of exaggeration from the seller to make this thing go away. My guess is that this thing is probably around 11k-12k pounds? I know it does have TRS drives which makes that boat ass heavy!
