Hi all 86 Liberator owner
Hi, this is my first post wasn't really sure where to put it so here it is. I own a 1986 Four Winns Liberator 211, I would say the boat is in good to borderline excellent shape. Powered by a mercruiser 350 and alpha 1 I am in the process of building a 383 for it. I will also be upgrading to a Bravo 1 drive. (free or very cheap parts wanted for the Bravo, Just say-in') Its my first boat larger than 17' and I love it. As a former jet boat guy there will be somewhat of a learning curve, but that's why I have the internet and all you new friends. It will be left alone for this next boating season so I can enjoy it more, and until I can get all the Bravo parts around. Hi all and thanks ahead for putting up with what may seem like some stupid questions when I am at my wits end because I forgot that ONE thing...

Welcome to the family Jason. Sounds like you have a good plan. Here is a link to my thread on the re-fit/re-power of my '79 Formula 255 Liberator http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/f...or-update.html
I up graded from Pre Alpha Mercs to Bravo also and this will give you some idea of what you will be seeing in the near future with yours. Here is another link that I found that summarizes the process http://www.allardmarine.com/alpha_to...conversion.htm Again...welcome and good luck with your project...post lots of pictures. I use Photobucket.com to catalogue and post mine. |
Welcome to the board! Nice looking Liberator! I love the classic lines. Performance boating is an addiction! Hope your ready for the ride!

Welcome to the family. Those boats ride real well or their size and the lines are always good.
