Thanks... and yea, no kidding... Rare day on the Chesapeake. Was supposed to be winterizing it... but took a late season Nov run - just picked up my buddy in the passenger seat, off a fishing boat - he'd been out all day, and ran out of beer, so I blasted him over to an annual block party in Annapolis Harbor.

I think 5200 with engines and drives isn't far from reality. You stated 7k without the trailer and half a tank of fuel. I'm assuming you have two 100 gal tanks... that's 700 lbs there... now we are at 6300.. The boat has probably picked up another 8 or 9 hundred pounds in water weight over the years... and then there's equipment and any accessories that have been added. I'm sure 5200 was a base boat. A 10 pound spotlight here, a 12 pound VHF there... it adds up.
