Boat recommendations for newbie
Hi gang. New guy here from central Florida. Own two boats, a 32' cruiser and an old whaler. Looking for a third, old school go fast.
Started looking at 70's, 80's, and early 90's high performance boats. Partial to Cigarette hearing about them all the time growing up in south Florida. I've been browsing over Cigarette, Apache, Formula, Magnum, Fountains, and others. Is there any particular lengths or models worth seeking out, that just stand out above the others. Some that are more sea worthy or faster than others with same power? Example: bullet vs cafe racer vs mistress, executioner vs fever etc.. Just started searching. I'm looking in the 28-35 ft range with two engines. Up to 60k. I've restored other things, one boat and don't mind turning a wrench. Thanks a bunch |
dont pizz around just get a 41 apache and be done with your shopping..

Old school
I've got a nice Fountain 10 Meter I may be selling. It's very clean, low hours, stock power, hydraulic steering, with aluminum trailer.

That 41 apache looks badass. Want to stay at 35 and below however.
Don't know anything about that model Fountain. Any details on the hull design? Thanks |
35 mistress with number 3s and 540 or bigger is a bad ass ride for big water, or a gun... but that puts you three feet short of a monster apache 41. lol
http://www.offshoreonly.com/classifi...o56927-en.html a gun with 3A's and 572s that is a beast for 49k leave you coin to freshen up the engines this winter... |
