As a new member in here, I really appreciated all the posts of the Gentry boat!
Considering the length of time you restored the boat, .... I was able to read these posts in a half hour. ( I cheated?)

This brought back a LOT of memories!!!! ( Arneson See Sweeps, Michelob Light Cougars, Arenacrafts, etc.)

Fabulous restoration!!

That might be one of the best resto's I have seen along with warpath, but you went all the way with motors etc. Nice job.

Such a great piece of history ..............

In the long past, race boat owners had to trust me with their large budget ( no such thing as a small cost on off-shore racing)....
The owners had to have trust in their money spent. ( I always respected their money)....
To have a client with the "sheets" to spend, and then have Archer to be able to do this restoration as well as they did, ...2 things happen. The client is thrilled he got what he paid for and Archer was able to do the project the right way.

Nice restoration

No question this was a Gentry boat which originally was in Calf.,I presume.Where was it located when you found it. Can't imagine it was that elusive for so many years.Who owned it and who sold it? Don't think that was mentioned in any of these blogs.

I believe it was found in Georgia.....

I found it setting in Valdosta GA a gentleman had just bought it from a marina where it had been setting for the last 15+ years someone had started to convert the boat to triple diesels with surface drives hadn't gotten very far with there project and just left the boat at the marina cut up and rotting. I had posted that I was looking for this boat for a customer and one day I got an Email for this gentleman asking if I was still interested in the boat that he had just bought it but it was a lot more project then he could handle. I was on a plane the next week to check it out and get the deal done. Sent my truck driver Thadus Finley to go pick it up witch was funny because he was the same driver that delivered it to GA some 20 years early. That's the story in a nut shell!!!! Thanks everyone for your kind words now it off to the water to have some fun ! After two years we need some fun ! Regards Dan This is the picture I got of the boat setting at the Marina very sad !

I just don't have the words, magnificent ! I'm glad to see some people with the money to do an undertaking like this, do. Instead of goin out a blowing 1.2 on a run of the mill OL with 1350s, not that there is a prob with that . very nice!!!!
