She won the Atlantic City, NJ race sometime in mid 1974 (June, July ?) The Atlantic City Press covered the race. Try their archives also. Don Aronow was there as was the man who owned
Amile Oil Co.

It's poor quality, but I found this article on the 1974 Hennessy Grand Prix. A picture of El Diablo is on the last page.

El Diablo also won the Bahamas 500 race in 1974. Did you know that? I just remembered....another senior moment...I'm now 85 and going strong.

I read about the Bahamas 500 victory in on old newspaper article. I'm compiling all of the races, dates, and locations. I'm hoping I can use the information to help me find some good images of her.

Sadly, I have come to terms with the fact that I don't have the resources to restore or even properly store "El Diablo", so I am putting her up for sale rather than watch her deteriorate any further. I don't really know what she is worth in her current condition, so I put her on eBay. https://www.ebay.com/itm/30255422449...84.m1558.l2649

"El Diablo" is an awesome boat, and I hope to sell her to someone who has the resources to restore her to her former glory.

The auction was won by a non-paying bidder, so "El Diablo" is still up for sale.

Sad to see the current condition on those pics. This will not be an easy resto. Hopefully, someone with the resources and patience to do her justice will look you up.

  • Worked at Davney back in 1995, and Lance & Page took me for a ride off Key Biscayne after the 2 blue print 350’s we’re finished. I stood in the middle at 80+ MPH
