Bought boat ... What did I get myself into?

Hello all,
So... I took the plunge and acquired my first boat. :eekdrop: and now I am in need of good advice and technical assistance. I got my hands on a 1978 Hammond Eldorado V1950. Not entirely sure what motor is in it( I know its a gm) I was told its a 307 ... It's got a mercruiser 898 outdrive on it... It needs some TLC but it seems to be pretty solid.

Contact Ryan00TJ, he had a Hammond that would absolutely fly with a stroked small block in it. He can probably tell you quite a bit about these boats, he is a very intelligent guy.
