Old 38' + sport boats with more beam?
What brands and models of old Vs in the 38' range had a wider beam? Just daydreaming about having an old cig turned into a big CC and was wondering which models to keep an eye out for. I know my current boat (jefferson marlago) is based on the early cig race boat and has a 9'2" beam. My boat is 35 with the integrated transom bracket and I'd love something bigger with triple 300s.
Thanks!

That's what my boat is based on. But I probably have a 33' running surface after discounting the integrated transom bracket.

In this build they scraped all the wood out and replaced it with foam coring! I'd think that would lighten it up pretty good!
The 300 suzukis are the best deal going. 3 is as many as I can reasonably dream of
The new 350 verados would be cool, but they cost to much more.
Any idea what the 36' cig and 38' mag weigh unrigged?

----I have a 33 ft. Gulfstream which is a shortened 36 widebody cigarette hull and love it. Only two E-tec 250s on a Stainless Marine bracket but that's all I need as I have a faster boat as well. The GS is built like a tank. They supposedly only built a few of them, but I do see them pop up for sale occasionally........Bill S
