Help with 85-86 Mercruiser 454
4 Attachment(s)
Hi all,
I have a December 1985 build, 1986 model year 38 Scarab KV Miami Vice Edition. It's an original 424 hour boat that as I tend to things I work to keep original or restore to original. I'm having the valve covers refinished and wonder if any of you know how I can get new 400HP valve cover plates? Next is the exhaust. if anyone has a picture of original exhaust manifolds, the boat was upgraded to Gil exhaust very early in life, possibly as a factory option. Last for now, the original brass flame arrestors cleaned up great but I need the NMMA warning stickers, anyone reproduce them? Thank you Tony |

I work on the 38KV Vice Edition Face Book page with Wayne. This was more of a Mercruiser parts inquiry. |
What was the original exhaust? I'll trade you my old rear exit manifolds. Lol. :lolhit:

The first KV built and used on Miami Vice had the same Gil dry exhaust and KAAMA switchable mufflers, I am fortunate that my boat was set up the same way so it will remain :drink: |
