Was that 1985? Were you on a 200X?? I was there that year as a spectator, What a great time riding my 350X from Cantina to Cantina. Went back in 2010 with a friend in his trophy truck and worked in his pit crew, and drove a chase truck that was a blast as well. Got some Steeekerz??

1988, steekerz are a marketable commodity...

This is a car we played with for a couple years, never really got the bugs out of it, this as 92~93 before A-arm cars really made the scene and got dialed in...

Was that trophy for tequila drinking? Lol. That's awesome. I really liked that movie when I was a kid. I religiously watched the Paris to Dakar rally every year. Then it got shaky with all the terrorist stuff.

Rolling a rally car at speed in the north woods of Minnesota in February and temps way below zero.
Repeating something similar the next winter in Michigans upper peninsula.

If you have never raced SOMETHING, you have missed a very important part of your life. When I came to Florida in the 50's, my goal was to be in a race against my hero, Sam Griffith. I did that. Then I wanted to BEAT Sam Griffith. Not so easy. I came here in 1956. Offshore racing started in 1956. Coincidence? I think not.... We became a racing group who cared for one another, helped one another, and had fun. Hell, if somebody got hurt or sick or broke, we sent a guy around to drink with him until he got over the urge to race. Those days, unfortunately, are gone. When racers started to worry about their own asses more than the blue eyed groupies asses, it was all over.

Used to run it when it was 24 hours beginning in Grayling. Mostly transits to special stages. Never did well once the European crews showed up.
