i am taking the gasoline tanks out they are placed in foam,big job.
i want to put them back in without using foam,what would be the best way to do this?

other question , the glasses of the ritchie compasses have cracks,is it possible to get new ones ?

Not sure in that situation. The last one I did in a donzi came with tabs on the tank for securing it. I used a cut up rubber mud flap and liquid nail to build spacers that wedged the tank in between the stringers.
Never use foam, even the closed cell will keep water trapped against the tank and cause issues. You also will want to coal tar the tank.
