I have an 86 Mistress. It had Hawk power originally when I got it (540s) made about 600 give or take, with transmissions and SSM3 drives. It would run 72. I freshened them to what I assume was about 700 and it would run 78 and I did get it to go 80 a couple times. I currently have 580s in with 10-71 blowers at 6psi and I believe it is probably making about 950, will run a tick over 90 all day in pretty much any condition
What drives you running |
nice....

There's a guy on here that built some Junk Yard 540s in his Lawnmower shed with a pair of vise grips and a multitool that is running 72.
Can't remember his name on the site. Use the search button. |
With 420's I saw 64 mph with 23 Mirage props at 5000 rpm, with 598 Hp I saw 73.7 @5500 rpm, current power was 73.5@5500.... working on more now as they did not perform properly..
TRS boat, with A/c usually half tank of fuel, trimmed to the moon, takes TONS of trim to see good speeds get that bow up... on MY indicators it goes fastest with drives around the 7-8 Mark The Scarab don't compare in ride quality, you made the better choice.. |

Mine hits 80 consistently .. chevy 572 tall boys na 650 hp Kevlar hull |
Did you ever weigh it? Dyno sheets? That's awful fast for 660, but I think Kevlar ones are about 800-1000 lbs lighter so that's a good mph gain
