[QUOTE=33outlawsst;4479282]I found this one but it sold before I could get to look at it up close[/QUOTE

Also looks like a staggered wide body........must take really big power to move it!

Ironmanwb 09-07-2016 07:58 PM

I drove over 24 hrs round trip to look at it. It was really rough. It was a shell at best. I hope someone will restore it but I didn't have the time, money or desire for that large of a project.

Ironmanwb 09-07-2016 08:11 PM

Bruce thought your boat was Aeromarine one. But he knew someone else that claimed they had it.

Not sure and no way to really know without stripping it.

I just bought a 36 and love it.

kriegtea 09-07-2016 08:39 PM

kriegtea 09-07-2016 09:25 PM

Nice looking boat . Is it a 3 man setup or does it have 5 man cockpit.
RG.

kriegtea 09-08-2016 02:13 PM

Rick G 09-08-2016 11:02 PM

Yes I do . In fact I have a daughter in second year university at U Vic. She plays varsity golf . I will probably be out there in December. Where are you on the island .
Rick G.

kriegtea 09-08-2016 11:33 PM

Ironmanwb said he traveled to check it out, but don't know if he knows anything more than the poor shape he found the boat in.

Full Force 09-23-2016 06:58 PM

I'm looking to get the drives and conversion for myself, see what's left to part for some return on $$

Ironmanwb 09-26-2016 07:36 PM

When we looked I had it bought pending the condition. Hull is completely rotten transom stringers and bulkheads. Engines are basically a bunch of autozone parts from what we could see. Headers and tail pieces were pieced together with rubber exhaust hose. It was definitely an old race boat you can see the holes for the Patterson side exhaust and large fuel fills glassed in on the deck. The deck is not cored at all it is cupped and bowed pretty bad. The drives were pretty rough too one had brand new oil the other was burnt pretty bad. Skegs were beaten up and had some bad repair work. Not sure about the trannies. Fuel tanks were pieced together and welded. Cabin is a complete abortion. Gauges, interior and controls are all out of a west marine catalog....trailer looks rough but seems to be structurally sound and is the least sketchy part of the whole thing. If you could buy it for 5k strip it, sell the trailer and give the hull to someone who will restore it that woul be the best case.

It's a shame because I really wanted this boat to be much better than it is.

I hope someone will restore the hull and make it back into what it once was.

Jordan91Ulbrich 09-28-2016 04:23 PM

Yup Greg bought it off of me and my pops. Did get a chance to take a picture of both the Blue hull 36 and the White staggard 36 next to each other before he took it.
