Tow it quickly under a low bridge on your way home and you'd have a pretty cool boat. :)

New and have questions...

Hey guys,
New to the forum after lurking for several years (you guys are a brilliant resource-THANKS!) and have questions about this boat and anything similar (sedan?)
Seems like everyone kinda hates the "FuGLY" pilot house/canopy/whatever on this boat but up here it looks practical to me. In TX we could run wide open all year with nothing to worry about but the occasional trip to the dermatologist and an addional cancer rider on the insurance. Up here in MA the weather gets cold and wet. A go fast with a top is what I need.
Looks like this boat has been for sale for a couple of years now, so probably out in the snow and rain. A shame for a boat with a pedigree (even if you don't like it) to be allowed to rot (maybe it's pristine-who knows-Paul stopped responding to my texts when I asked about condition.)
If this boat is a rotten mess, is there anything else you guys would suggest that would get me to Martha's, Nantucket, and the outer cape in relative comfort without breaking the bank? I'm okay with no power, just don't know that I want to worryabout reolacing stringers, floors, and cosmetics.
Dream boats would be a Riva Superamerica or Magnum sedan but maybe a Formula PC with a hardtop would do the trick. Not afraid to look at something new and unusual to me, just want to keep the initial buy in below $20k.
Appreciate ANY and ALL input.
Thanks,
Bud
