Great job you should be proud of your accomplishment!!......but In my opinion, there is however a weak point that should be addressed in the sedan concerning the hull/deck marriage.
If you haven't done it already, I recommend glassing the hull/deck seam with a course of 1708 (preferably the bow) you did replace the rub rail so you know how superficial that bond is. God forbid if you ever stuff the bow that hull/deck joint will not hold up and could cause serious injury or death........it's happened before to a twin ob sedan and the latter occurred. |
Scippy, thanks for the positive feedback. I agree that their is an issue with the sedans when the caps was bonded to the hull. I had to replace the bulkhead in the bow of the boat and when I re-glassed it I also glassed the cap to the hull. As you also mentioned, when we did the rub rail we re-drilled the entire hull and also used 5200 on each of the screws.

That is an amazing looking boat, and an excellent job bringing it back to life.

I remember when this sedan was for sale a few years ago, it looked good back then. I would have bought it but I found my sedan close by.

One of my friends in Florida sent this pic as they know I like sedans, I guess this one is also in your family's collection.
